Whileoperatingwithin the Bank’s risk appetite,achievesresults by consistentlyidentifying, assessing,managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform detailed due diligence on companies, industries, management teams, and other relevant information.\n\nBuild detailed financial projection models to analyze capital structures, performancetrends,and credit metrics.\n\nPrepare succinct underwriting memorandums, including company and industry descriptions, key credit risks, historicalanalysis, base and downside case projection assumptions/rationale and terms and conditions.\n\nEstablish strong working partnerships and routines with key internal partners includingother Underwriters,Debt Capital Markets,andCredit Risk,\n\nManage multiple transactions/projects\n\nCommunicate effectivelywith dealteam members on status and prioritizationunderthe directionof senior underwriters.\n\nDemonstrate knowledge of relevant credit policies and procedures and accurately identify policy exceptions.\n\nExcel in both team and self-directed settings.\n\nTrain and develop Credit Analysts,includingreviewing theirworkproductandoffering feedbackand coachingon credit memos and financialmodeling.\n\nMaintain thorough knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and terminology.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:\nNone\nMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES REQUIRED:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration ora relatedfield.\n\nMinimumof3yearsof experience in underwriting, credit, or originations, preferably in the banking or investment bankingindustry.\n\nDemonstrate solid creditagreementand underwriting skills.\n\nAttention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAnalytical capability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong work ethic; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.\n\nProficiencyin Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and related applications.\n\nUnderwriting AssociateTotal Base Pay Range 82,100.00 - 172,500.00 USD AnnualAt Fifth Third, we understand the importance of recognizing our employees for the role they play in improving the lives of our customers, communities and each other.
