Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.\nWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Actuator Systems team, designing and testing the motor control and power electronics hardware that drives our humanoid robots.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and validate PCBAs for actuator and motor control systems, including motor controllers, gate drivers, power distribution boards, and mixed-signal sensing circuits.\n\nDevelop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies to support key actuator hardware decisions.\n\nDesign across analog, digital, and power domains on the same board - managing signal integrity, noise isolation, and thermal considerations.\n\nSupport review of design artifacts (schematics, layouts, bill of materials) from peers and external suppliers.\n\nSupport system integration and test activities through hands-on debugging and validation.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n\n2+ years of industry experience.\n\nSolid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs.\n\nMastery of Altium Designer in both schematics and layout.\n\nExperience with motor controller design - gate drivers, H-bridges, FOC, BLDC/PMSM topologies.\n\nExperience with mixed-signal design spanning analog, digital, and power domains.\n\nStrong debugging instincts - you know how to attack a hardware problem, document findings, and drive to solutions quickly.\n\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience with power electronics - DC-DC converters, switching regulators, battery management.\n\nFamiliarity with current sensing, encoder interfaces, and motor feedback circuits.\n\nExperience with small form factor boards (HDI, flex, rigid-flex).\n\nEmbedded programming of microcontrollers, DSPs, or FPGAs for motor control applications.\n\nExperience with LTspice or similar simulation tools.\n\nBackground in robotics, automotive, drone, or other motor-driven systems.\n\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $250,000 per year.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
