In summary, you will help build and improve the core software infrastructure that keeps our robot fleet running, with a focus on over-the-air (OTA) and firmware update systems that deliver software reliably and securely to robots in the field.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and test features for the robot software platform, including OTA update delivery, firmware update flows, and the embedded Linux systems that support them.\n\nWork across software and hardware layers to integrate, debug, and validate updates on real robot hardware.\n\nImprove the reliability, security, and scalability of how software is deployed across the fleet.\n\nMeasure the impact of your work and share results and recommendations with the team.\n\nRequirements:\nRising senior or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; must be graduating within one year.\n\nMinimum 10 weeks.\n\nStrong programming skills in C, C++, Rust, or Python.\n\nExperience with Linux and networking fundamentals.\n\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience with embedded Linux build and update tools such as Yocto, RAUC, or SWUpdate.\n\nExperience with firmware development, bootloaders, or hardware bring-up.\n\nFamiliarity with applied cryptography, such as code signing, PKI, or secure boot.\n\nThe US base pay range for this full-time position is $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
