In this role, you will help bring our robots to life by supporting board bring-up, developing and validating new firmware features, and assisting with integration and testing.\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, implement and test firmware in C or C++ for critical components such as motor controllers, battery management systems and sensing hardware.\n\nDevelop Python tools to support test automation or hardware calibration.\n\nContribute to the development of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure.\n\nSupport hardware/software integration in the lab.\n\nRequirements: \nUndergraduate student (Senior) or recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.\n\nMinimum 10 weeks internship, 1 to 2 terms preferred.\n\nFluent in C, C++, and Python.\n\nExperience implementing low level software on bare-metal systems and RTOS.\n\nGood knowledge of computer architecture.\n\nDeep understanding of communication buses and protocols like Ethernet, Ethercat, Serial, CAN or USB.\n\nComfortable using lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) and in-circuit debugging tools.\n\nBonus Qualifications: \nExperience with motor controllers or battery management systems.\n\nExperience taking projects from conception to fleet-wide rollout (e.g. previous internship projects, large contributions to design teams or open source projects).\n\nThe US base pay range for this full-time position is $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
