Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.\nWe are looking for an Accounting Manager, with a focus on Inventory. This role will own the inventory and cost accounting, including building processes and deploying systems from end to end.\nResponsibilities:\nCost Accounting and Inventory Management\nTrack and reconcile inventory across raw materials, subassemblies, WIP, and finished goods.\n\nManage data integrity between ERP (NetSuite) and operational systems (MES, PLM, WMS). Resolve discrepancies between quantities, costs, and system records across locations or systems (e.g., NetSuite vs. MES).\n\nMaintain cost model, including overhead allocation and labor/machine rates.\n\nAnalyze purchase price variances (PPV), material usage variances, and production inefficiencies to support margin analysis and COGS reporting.\n\nCapital Asset and Fixed Asset Accounting\nMaintain fixed asset schedules and manage capitalization policies for PP&E.\n\nEnsure proper classification between R&D prototypes vs. capitalizable production assets.\n\nTrack depreciation and coordinate asset lifecycle management.\n\nGeneral accounting\nLead the automation of end-to-end transaction workflows and balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nSupport with growing volume of transactions (accounting syncs, reimbursements, etc)\n\nPrepare technical accounting memos.\n\nLease accounting management.\nTechnical accounting analysis for new leases\n\nManage monthly lease accounting reconciliation and entries.\n\nTax\nSupport external reporting requirements for government grants or incentives.\n\nAssist with quarterly and annual compliance.\n\nAudit Readiness\nLead annual external financial audits.\n\nRequirements: \nEducation: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.\n\nExperience: 8+ years in accounting, including 5+ years in cost and inventory accounting at a hardware or manufacturing company. Prior experience as a manager at a high-growth company is a plus.\n\nTechnical accounting: Deep expertise of US GAAP for inventory accounting (ASC 330), fixed assets (ASC 360), leases (ASC 842), and of the R&D vs. capitalizable cost distinction.\n\nSystems: Hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally including inventory and manufacturing modules. Experience with systems integration and reconciling ERP data against MES, PLM, and WMS systems.\n\nAnalytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a knack for identifying and resolving discrepancies.\n\nProcess building: Track record of designing and documenting controls and processes from scratch in a fast-scaling environment.\n\nCommunication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for successful collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.\n\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 to $195,00 per year.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role.
