In deze functie speel je een belangrijke rol in zowel de verdere ontwikkeling als het beheer van ons portfolio van brandbeveiligingsproducten.\nJe werkt aan geavanceerde technische oplossingen, bouwt diepgaande expertise op in internationale certificeringen voor brandbeveiligingssystemen en werkt nauw samen met verschillende interne afdelingen en externe partners.\nDeze functie biedt een gevarieerde combinatie van hands-on technisch ontwerp, testen, certificering beheer en occasionele verplaatsingen (ongeveer één keer per maand) ter ondersteuning van project mijlpalen, locatie beoordelingen of samenwerkingen met partners.\nIn deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de volgende taken:\nTechnische ondersteuning bieden bij de verdere ontwikkeling, productverbeteringen en de volledige levenscyclus van Fike's brandbeveiligingsproducten.\n\nJe verdiept je in en toepassen van relevante industrienormen, voorschriften en certificeringen voor brandbeveiligingssystemen. Deelnemen aan commissies voor industrienormen en samenwerken met externe certificeringsinstanties, productspecialisten en regelgevende autoriteiten om wereldwijde goedkeuringen te verkrijgen en te behouden.\n\nRechtstreeks samenwerken met klanten om brand beveiligingsoplossingen te bieden die zijn afgestemd op specifieke toepassingen.\n\nTestprogramma's ontwikkelen voor de functionaliteit van brandbeveiligingsproducten, mogelijke faalwijzen en toepassingscriteria; de voortgang opvolgen, gegevens analyseren en resultaten rapporteren. Gebruik Maken van 3D-software voor engineering ontwerpen, het opstellen van wijziging instructies en het bijwerken van artikelgegevens of stuklijsten (BOM's).\n\nSamenwerken met de afdelingen Sales, Marketing, Productie en Quality om technische vragen op te lossen, vereisten te verduidelijken of materiaal beoordelingen uit te voeren.\n\nOngeveer één keer per maand reizen voor projectondersteuning, certificeringsaudits of bezoeken aan klanten en partners.\n\nKennis opbouwen van relevante industrienormen en voorschriften en deze effectief toepassen.\n\nDe vertrouwelijkheid van alle toevertrouwde informatie waarborgen.\n\nVereiste vaardigheden en kwalificaties:\nDiploma in Werktuigbouwkunde, Brandbeveiligingstechniek, Systeemtechniek of een vergelijkbaar technisch vakgebied (of gelijkwaardige praktische ervaring).\n\nGoede praktische kennis van 3D CAD-software en gangbare kantoorsoftware.\n\nSterke motivatie en bereidheid om internationale voorschriften, normen en goedkeuringsprocessen voor brandbeveiligingssystemen te leren kennen.\n\nBereidheid en beschikbaarheid om ongeveer één keer per maand te reizen.\n\nSterk analytisch denkvermogen, met het vermogen om technische gegevens kritisch te beoordelen en complexe technische uitdagingen op te lossen.\n\nVermogen om professionele relaties op te bouwen en te onderhouden met zowel interne afdelingen als externe partners.\n\nUitstekende beheersing van het Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk (essentieel).\n\nGewenste / aanvullende vaardigheden:\nKennis van of eerdere ervaring met Europese normen en regelgeving kaders voor brandbeveiliging (bijv. In this role, you will play a key part in both the ongoing development and sustaining of our Fire Products portfolio. You will work on cutting-edge technical solutions, gain deep expertise in international fire protection system certifications, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. This position offers a balance of hands-on technical design, testing, certification management, and occasional travel (approximately once per month) to support project milestones, site assessments, or partner collaborations.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:\nProvide technical support for the ongoing development, product enhancements, and sustaining lifecycle of Fike's Fire Products.\n\nLearn and apply applicable industry standards, norms, and fire protection system certifications. Participate in industry standards committees, and coordinate with 3rd-party certification bodies, product specialists, and regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain global approvals.\n\nWork directly with customers to provide fire suppression solutions tailored to specific applications.\n\nDevelop test programs for fire product functionality, failure modes, and application criteria; oversee progress, analyze data, and report findings. Utilize 3D software for engineering designs, drafting modification instructions, and updating item data records or bills of materials (BOMs).\n\nPartner with sales, marketing, production, and quality departments to resolve technical inquiries, clarify requirements, or conduct material assessments.\n\nTravel roughly once per month for project support, certification audits, or customer/partner site visits.\n\nDevelop an understanding of applicable industry standards and norms and effectively applying them.\n\nSafeguarding the confidentiality of all entrusted information.\n\nEssential skills required:\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).\n\nSolid working knowledge of 3D CAD software and standard office basic software.\n\nHigh motivation and eagerness to learn international fire protection system codes, standards, and approval processes.\n\nWillingness and availability to travel approximately once per month.\n\nStrong analytical mindset with the ability to critically evaluate technical data and solve complex technical challenges.\n\nAbility to build and maintain
