Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.\nJob Summary:\nOperates metal fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to order specifications. Materials for parts used may include ordinary and alloy steel, cast iron, brass, bronze and other metals in the form of sheet metal, round bar, forging, castings and rolled steel parts. Fabricating equipment used may include Computer Assisted Brake Press, Sheet Shear, Drill Press, Ironworker. Must be able to perform minimum training requirements and all trainee operations.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPrepares parts for paint via washing or blasting.\n\nLoads and unloads paint line.\n\nPerforms breakout and staging of laser cut parts.\n\nOperates fabrication equipment with general understanding of processes,and little guidance.\n\nAssembles valves and associated products (DFI, DCX) under the direction of trained operators.\n\nCleans work area, tools, and equipment.\n\nAdheres to safety practices, 6S, and follows Fike policies and ISO9001.\n\nPerforms related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.\nThis position will work second shift Monday - Thursday, 3:15pm - 1:45am\nCompensation: The pay range for this is position is $20-$23/hr and is based on the candidate's experience\nEssential Skills:\nSubject Matter Exposure. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds using appropriate moving devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to operate foot control while standing on one leg.\n\nJob Qualifications:\nREQUIRED: High School Diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED). Minimum of 6 months vocational training with 6 months of fabrication experience or 1 year minimum machining / manufacturing experience (Fike manufacturing experience). Ability to read, interpret and follow instructions, work order and engineered drawings.
