Job Summary: Operates metal fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to order specifications. Materials for parts used may include ordinary and alloy steel, cast iron, brass, bronze and other metals in the form of sheet metal, round bar, forging, castings and rolled steel parts. Fabricating equipment used may include Computer Assisted Brake Press, Sheet Shear, Drill Press, Ironworker. Must be able to perform minimum training requirements and all trainee operations. Primary Responsibilities: Prepares parts for paint via washing or blasting. Loads and unloads paint line. Performs breakout and staging of laser cut parts.
