This role will report to the Plant Manager in Avelen, NJ\nTo ensure success as a maintenance technician, you should have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills. Ultimately, a top-class industrial maintenance technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nInstall, maintain, and repair automated machinery and mechanical systems.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment issues.\nPerform preventative maintenance on automation systems to minimize downtime.\nDocument service and repair activities in maintenance logs or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).\nPerform routine inspections and repairs of facility systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, and basic electrical.\nRespond to facility-related service requests in a timely manner.\nEnsure the building remains clean, safe, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.\nSupport minor construction, painting, and carpentry tasks as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired skills and qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred.\n2+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.\nWorking knowledge of automated equipment, PLC systems, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.\nBasic understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\nProficient with hand and power tools, safety protocols, and reading schematics or technical manuals.\nComfortable with using or learning CMMS platforms and digital reporting tools.\nExcellent time-management skills.\nDetail oriented.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills.\nAbility to read and write in English.\nMust have excellent attendance by scheduling days off in advance and arriving at work on time.\nWork independently with little guidance.\nAbility to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.\nAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)\nNice to Haves:\nExperience with robotics or conveyor systems.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.\nOSHA safety training or similar certifications\nBi-lingual Spanish\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods working on feet (10-hr shifts) and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, walking, lifting, stepping, pulling, pushing, etc.\nAbility to lift 80lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed.\nMust be comfortable working in various environments (noise, dust, temperature variations).\nOccasional overtime or on-call duties may be required.\nThis job description is not all-encompassing; however, it is intended to be a general description of the responsibilities of this position.\nCompany Overview\nWe are a leading ecommerce company with a mission to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences.
