Submit requisitions in a timely manner to prevent out-of-stock situations.\nConduct hot work, confined spaces and high altitude \nPerform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with Company policies\nKeep work area and department clean and organized.\nFollow instructions of the Maintenance Supervisor\nPerform all other tasks as directed by Purafil Manufacturing Leadership\nTrain other crew members as required\nPreventive Maintenance\nConduct daily checks on boilers, air compressors, and dust collectors to ensure optimal performance.\nConduct preventive maintenance on process and facility equipment, this may includeChanging filters \nOiling chains\nDust/vacuum particles\n\nProduction Support\nEnsure all equipment is operational at optimal capacity. \nTroubleshoot equipment when the production team is reporting out-of-normal conditions \nMix dry (powdered) chemicals in blender for shift’s production.\nAssist disc operator with pumping of liquid bulk totes of chemicals.\nChange screens on separators \nRegulation and Compliance\nSupport plant ISO program, lean manufacturing, and process improvement initiatives.\nSupport on regulatory audits, which could include:Waste-water or Storm water audit/testing\nFire safety inspections \nOSHA / County / Insurance \n\nEnsure the warehouse, office and building needs are met by conducting the work or sourcing the appropriate assistance, these could include:Light bulb changing\nDoor repairs\nPlumbing assistance \nAC repairs\nRacking maintenance\nFloor/concrete repairs\nEquipment installation \nForklift repairs\n\nOther\nThis position is entirely based in a manufacturing environment. Shifts last 8-12 hours per day, 4-6 days per week. Most of this time is spent walking and standing on concrete manufacturing floor in extreme heat and cold; climbing stairs and ladders; wearing personal protective equipment including but not exclusive to safety glasses, earplugs, safety shoes, and dust mask. Requires weekend work as production needs dictate.
