Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role works regularly with plant leadership and their teams to promote a safe, compliant workplace. The Safety Coordinator also partners with Division EHS and is responsible for the successful implementation of EHS programs and procedures at the site level.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and implement programs and procedures to meet facility objectives and targets in EHS. Key focus points include:\nAccident Prevention\nEHS Regulatory Compliance\nEnergy management and use reduction\nWaste Minimization\nManagement Systems (as required)\nCoordinate EHS training.\nSupport and manage corrective actions from EHS audits.\nOnsite contact for Division and Corporate EHS Department, and under Corporate/Division direction, manage EPA actions such as, but not limited to, NOV’s, cleanups and complaints.\nOnsite contacts for Division/Corporate EHS Department and under their direction manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance, informal conferences.\nDirect all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.\nMaintain necessary EHS records.\nEnsure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives.\nChair ISO 14000 and 18000 Committees (if applicable).\nSupport customer EHS requirements (i.e. IMDS).\nDevelop, measure and track internal EHS metrics, plans and goals.\nSupport the site’s waste management (recycling) program.\nSupport and Integrate EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.\nQualifications\nDegree in a technical field desired, preferably EHS (experience with certificate programs, seminars and CEU’s). OSHA 10/30 hour, or other safety certification preferred\n2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills \nAction oriented\nAbility to multi-task\nStrong problem-solving skills \nExcellent computer skills (typing and Office projects - Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nSets Example - Supports, commits, and demonstrates Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures\nExperience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a plus.\nCan work independently.\nCreative ability in ensuring safety of employees and the environment while meeting the needs of production.\nStrong presentation skills.\nAbility to work effectively with management as well as associates from the floor.\nMay be required to support multiple shifts\nADDITIONAL COMMENTS:\nThe essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by individuals assigned to this job classification.
