Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Engineering and Production teams, you will help ensure new products can be manufactured efficiently, consistently and to the required quality standards.\nThe role will involve supporting engineering builds, production trials, process development, equipment preparation and troubleshooting, helping bridge the gap between product development and production.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide hands-on technical support for the introduction of new products into manufacturing.\nSupport prototype builds, engineering builds and production trials.\nAssist with developing, improving and validating manufacturing processes and assembly methods.\nPrepare and maintain manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures and work instructions.\nInvestigate manufacturing issues, support root cause analysis and help implement corrective actions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, yield and process repeatability.\nSupport engineering changes and ensure manufacturing documentation is accurate and up to date.\nWork collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain colleagues.\nRequirements\nEssential:\nPrevious experience within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.\nPractical engineering aptitude and an interest in manufacturing processes and product development.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nUnderstanding of quality standards and the importance of controlled manufacturing processes.\nCompetent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different functions.\nA proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage priorities and work independently when required.\nDesirable:\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or transferring products from engineering into production.\nExperience in electronics, RF, microwave, semiconductor or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, assembly techniques and process optimisation.\nExperience with engineering builds, production trials, process validation or continuous improvement.\nKnowledge of manufacturing documentation and engineering change control.\nExperience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures and jigs.\nFamiliarity with MRP, ERP or PLM systems.\nQualifications\nAn HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent relevant engineering qualifications and practical experience, would be advantageous.\nWe also welcome applications from candidates who have developed relevant technical knowledge and skills through practical manufacturing experience.\nA full and comprehensive job description is available on request.\nIf you have a hands-on engineering background and are looking for an opportunity to contribute to the introduction of new products and the continued development of manufacturing processes, we would like to hear from you.\nBenefits\nSalary benchmarked to attract the strongest candidates.\n37.5 hour working week\n25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days\nContributory pension scheme with up to 8% company contribution\nLife Assurance\nIncome Protection Insurance\nSave As You Earn (SAYE) share scheme \nElectric Vehicle (EV) scheme\nCycle to Work scheme \nVolunteering day \nLearning and development opportunities\nWant to Know More?\nThis advert provides an overview of the role and its key responsibilities.
