Working alongside engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams, you'll help deliver world-class hardware for some of the most demanding space applications.\nIf you're passionate about quality, thrive in technically challenging environments, and want to help shape the future of high-speed RF communications, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYou will be responsible for ensuring robust product assurance activities are embedded across payload programmes from concept through to customer delivery.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n Leading product assurance activities across payload and space hardware programmes. \n Ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards, including ECSS, ESA and NASA requirements. \n Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and test teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle. \n Supporting the selection and qualification of space-grade electronic components and materials. \n Reviewing and approving quality plans, manufacturing documentation, non-conformance reports and release documentation. \n Leading root cause investigations, corrective actions and Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs). \n Participating in design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, customer reviews and programme gate reviews. \n Monitoring quality metrics, process capability and continuous improvement activities. \n Maintaining robust configuration control, traceability and documentation. \n Supporting supplier quality and material/process compliance activities. \nRequirements\nYou'll be an experienced engineer or quality professional who enjoys working within highly regulated, technically demanding environments.\nWe're particularly interested in candidates with:\nA degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Physics, Quality or a related discipline.\n Experience in Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality or Reliability Engineering. \n Experience working with complex electronic, RF, aerospace, defence or space products. \n A strong understanding of quality management systems, non-conformance management and root cause analysis. \n Knowledge of space-grade electronic components, PCB manufacturing and aerospace soldering standards. \n Familiarity with ECSS, ESA or NASA quality standards. \n Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. \nIt would be great if you also have:\nExperience supporting satellite, payload or wider space programmes.\n Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems. \n Experience with configuration management, FMEA, risk management, qualification or acceptance testing. \n Experience supporting supplier or customer audits. \nWhy join Filtronic?\nAt Filtronic, you'll work on technology that's helping shape the future of satellite communications, aerospace and defence.\nWe offer:\nThe opportunity to work on cutting-edge Space and Defence programmes.\n A collaborative engineering culture where your ideas matter. \n Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression. \n Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. \n A supportive environment where innovation, quality and continuous improvement are valued every day. \nBenefits\nSalary benchmarked at the top end of the market range to attract the strongest candidates\n37.5 hour working week\n25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days\nContributory pension scheme with up to 8% company contribution\nLife Assurance\nIncome Protection Insurance\nSave As You Earn (SAYE) share scheme \nElectric Vehicle (EV) scheme\nCycle to Work scheme \nVolunteering day \nLearning and development opportunities\nHybrid working available\nWant to Know More?\nThis advert provides an overview of the role and its key responsibilities.
