Our investment in high-calibre staff, leading-edge technology and a world-class manufacturing facility underpin our growth strategy and our aim to be a world-class supplier of high-frequency products and solutions.\nWe are looking for an experienced RF Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team.\nThis is a hands-on RF test development role, working closely with Engineering and Production teams to develop, implement and maintain automated test solutions for a range of products, from initial concept through to volume production.\nYou will play an important role in developing and improving test capability, resolving technical issues and ensuring test solutions meet defined technical, quality, cost and delivery requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain automated RF test solutions using LabVIEW and TestStand.\nUtilise RF test equipment and measurement techniques to develop, verify and maintain test capability.\nInvestigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues relating to test systems and equipment.\nSupport the complete test solution lifecycle, including requirements review, system design, instrumentation selection, development, implementation and validation.\nAnalyse test data and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.\nEnsure test solutions are properly documented, including specifications, operating instructions and supporting technical information.\nPlan and manage own workload to meet project deadlines, reporting progress, risks and issues to relevant project teams and team leaders.\nSupport the implementation of engineering changes, training and ongoing test system improvements.\nWork collaboratively with Engineering, Production and other internal teams to ensure effective test solutions are delivered.\nRequirements\nEssential:\nA relevant Engineering degree or equivalent combination of qualifications and practical experience, together with relevant RF experience.\nStrong practical measurement and diagnostic skills using electronic and RF test equipment at microwave frequencies and above.\nPractical experience developing automated test solutions using LabVIEW and TestStand.\nStrong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage priorities, work independently when required and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers.\nDesirable:\nExperience working within a volume electronics manufacturing environment.\nPractical experience with serial communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.\nIf you have strong RF engineering experience and enjoy developing practical test solutions in a technically challenging manufacturing environment, we would like to hear from you.\nBenefits\nSalary benchmarked to attract the strongest candidates.\n37.5 hour working week\n25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days\nContributory pension scheme with up to 8% company contribution\nLife Assurance\nIncome Protection Insurance\nSave As You Earn (SAYE) share scheme \nElectric Vehicle (EV) scheme\nCycle to Work scheme \nVolunteering day \nLearning and development opportunities\nWant to Know More?\nThis advert provides an overview of the role and its key responsibilities.
