This role involves advanced technical expertise in RF/microwave engineering, hands-on design and test, problem-solving, and close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.\nThe Senior RF Engineer is responsible for delivering robust RF designs, supporting technology development, maintaining high engineering standards, and contributing to the company’s product roadmap.\nTechnical:\nLead the design, simulation, and development of RF and mmWave circuits, components, and subsystems \nConduct RF system analysis, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting of complex designs\nCarry out RF measurements, characterisation, and validation of prototypes and production hardware \nDevelop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and results \nEnsure designs meet required specifications, standards, and customer requirements \nContribute to technology and product roadmaps with innovative RF design solutions \nSupport RFQs, proposals, and customer engagements with technical input where required \nProject & Product Management:\nWork with project managers and engineering leads to deliver designs on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards \nSupport the transition of designs from concept through prototyping into volume manufacturing \nCollaborate with process engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and yield of RF products \nAssist in risk identification and mitigation during the design and development process \nCollaboration & Communication:\nWork closely with electronics, mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions \nProvide technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders, including customers \nPresent technical work and project updates to peers, management, and customers as required \nRequirements\nAbout you:\nRelevant degree or equivalent experience in RF, Microwave, Electronics or Communications Engineering.\nExperience in RF/mmW circuit or system design.\nExperience using RF design tools such as Microwave Office, CST, EMPro or ADS would be beneficial.\nGood understanding of microwave circuit design, system line-up analysis, tolerance/yield analysis and design for manufacture.\nExperience of transceiver, amplifier, filter, module or subsystem design would be advantageous.\nA practical approach to engineering, with good problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to contribute to technical activities and work collaboratively with other engineers.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing and project teams.\nBenefits\nSalary benchmarked at the top end of the market range to attract the strongest candidates.\n37.5 hour working week\n25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days\nContributory pension scheme with up to 8% company contribution\nLife Assurance\nIncome Protection Insurance\nSave As You Earn (SAYE) share scheme \nElectric Vehicle (EV) scheme\nCycle to Work scheme \nVolunteering day \nLearning and development opportunities\nHybrid working available\nWant to Know More?\nThis advert provides an overview of the role and its key responsibilities.
