Much of the market's data still sits in Arabic filings that analysts retype by hand. We extract the financial statements, flag figures that don't add up, and deliver normalised data in English that can be traced back to the exact page it came from. We are a small founding team and a graduate of the American University in Cairo's Venture Lab.\n\nRole Description\nWe are hiring one software engineering intern for a 12-week, part-time, remote internship on our capital markets data product. You will work across the whole stack, from the pipeline that extracts financial statements to the dashboards our clients use, and ship code that goes into the product. You will write a one-page plan before you code, and every change is reviewed by our chief technology officer before it merges.\n\nWhat you will work on:\n\n• Hardening how we extract quarterly financial statements\n• An endpoint that re-runs our error flags whenever a reviewer saves a correction\n• A plan for extracting the notes to the financial statements\n• Our seven company dashboards, a screen that checks figures across years, and key performance indicator views\n• Planning and implementing market intelligences, market sentiment analysis, and non financial data for market predictions\n\nStack: a Python pipeline service, a NestJS backend and a Next.js front end.\n\nTerms\n• Starts Sunday 29 November 2026\n• 12 weeks, 15 to 20 hours a week, including two fixed afternoons each week for review with the team\n• Fully remote\n• This is an unpaid internship but we are looking to hire fulltime position from our intern pool\nRequirements\nHow to apply\nPlease apply with your résumé and one link to work you built: a GitHub project you shipped with tests, front-end work, or both.
