A well established credit union in Irving is looking for a strong Collections Supervisor to join its lending team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who may already be supervising a team, serving as a Lead Collector, or working as a highly experienced Collector II and is ready to take the next step into leadership.

The position reports directly to the VP of Lending and will help oversee day to day collections activity while remaining hands on with more complex accounts.

Bank or credit union collections experience is required. Credit union experience is preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Help lead the day to day collections function
• Support and coach collectors while helping keep performance and follow up on track
• Work directly with members on delinquent consumer and residential loans
• Handle more complex or escalated collection accounts
• Assist with late stage collections, repossessions, bankruptcies, charge offs, and recovery activity
• Support skip tracing and workout strategies
• Monitor delinquency trends and help identify areas requiring additional attention
• Work closely with Lending and other internal departments
• Help ensure collection activity remains compliant with applicable regulations and internal policy
• Assist with reporting, workflow improvement, and departmental goals

What We’re Looking For

• Bank or credit union collections experience is required
• Credit union experience is preferred
• Strong experience with consumer loan collections
• Experience with repossessions, bankruptcies, charge offs, recovery, and late stage delinquency
• Previous supervisory experience is welcome, but not required
• Strong Collector II or Lead Collector candidates who are ready for leadership will be considered
• Good judgment, communication, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with both members and internal leadership
• Strong understanding of collections processes and documentation
