You will be part of a core team ensuring that FT journalists are appropriately equipped to produce our gold-standard journalism.\nKey responsibilities:\nOversight and management of editorial data contracts including subscriptions, market data contracts, photography and satellite agencies in close collaboration with the Procurement and Legal teams\nManaging Editorial data and contract budgets\nManagement of overseas Editorial bureau operations, including local compliance, leases and facilities\nOversight of journalist equipment requirements, working with Product & Tech, Cyber Security and IT to ensure alignment with FT company policies\nRetainer payment management and oversight\nRepresent Editorial on the FT Health & Safety committee\nResponsibility for Editorial office spaces, in liaison with the FT Facilities team\nKey contact for newsroom operations in collaboration with colleagues across the business to represent Editorial priorities\nAd hoc project management, as well as covering for colleagues in the Managing Editor’s Office.\nWhat we are looking for\nThe successful candidate must have the confidence and competence to manage a highly complex 600-person journalistic enterprise. This role requires responsive and clear communication, the ability to problem-solve, budget awareness and an understanding of Editorial priorities and strategy. It is essential to have integrity and the discretion to handle confidential matters.
