Upon completion, this role is expected to transition to the standalone Universal Banking business, creating opportunities to support its future growth and success.\nWhat will you contribute?\nAs a Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in building, operating and evolving the cloud, infrastructure and networking capabilities supporting our business and customers.\nThis is a hands-on technical role spanning cloud platforms, physical infrastructure and networking, with a particular emphasis on network engineering. You will help deliver resilient, secure and scalable infrastructure within a highly regulated financial-services environment. The role will report to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and will be based in London.\nResponsibilities & Deliverables:\nDesign, implement, operate and continuously improve secure, scalable and resilient cloud and infrastructure environments.\nLead hands-on networking activities across virtual networks, subnets, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls and connectivity between cloud and physical environments.\nSupport the operation and management of cloud platforms, physical infrastructure and networking services.\nMonitor infrastructure health and performance, proactively resolving complex cloud, infrastructure and networking issues.\nIdentify opportunities to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code and scripting.\nEmbed security, resilience and compliance considerations into infrastructure design and operations.\nCollaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security and wider technology teams to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions.\nContribute to technical documentation, engineering standards and infrastructure transformation initiatives.\nRequired Experience:\nStrong hands-on experience across networking, cloud and infrastructure engineering, with particularly strong networking fundamentals.\nStrong knowledge of networking concepts including VPN, VNets, subnets, Private Link Networking and VLANs, with the ability to confidently troubleshoot network environments.\nPractical experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure in production environments.\nExperience supporting secure, resilient and highly available technology environments.\nStrong troubleshooting capabilities across infrastructure and network layers.\nExperience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code would be advantageous.\nExperience within financial services, fintech, payments, lending or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with a practical and team-oriented approach.\nNice to Have:\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform or Ansible.\nScripting experience using PowerShell, Bash or Python.\nExperience with CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.\nExperience using Network management tools like Infoblox\nExperience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.\nKnowledge of security and compliance \nWe are proud to offer a range of incentives to our employees worldwide.
