Transforming knowledge into a strategic resource is our company mission, and we pursue it with the help of our most strategic asset: our people.\nFincons is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer - Senior\nTASKS:\n Maintenance and continuous operations of the pre-operational (Social) Media forDisaster Risk Management SMDRM workflow including update of documentation\nExtraction of flood impacts from media articles using LLMs including the validation \nEvaluation and simplification of theSMDRM pipeline\nMonitoring of the performance of the web services ofthe Global Flood Monitoring and technical support for newGFM developments\nSupport to improvements and updates toGloFAS and EFAS front-end .\nIntegration of Floods DSS in the new GloFAS react\nSupport to ICT requests from the unit\nSupport to the maintenance of the EFAS/GloFAS GOVIS entries as well as other related requests \nWrite the different documentation associated with the tasks above and liaise with service providers and the ICT responsible for the unit as necessary\nREQUIREMENTS:\nProgramming in Python in particular in view of maintaining and testing the source code of a multi modular system;\nKnowledge of Django framework;\nKnowledge of Docker and container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes;\nExcellent knowledge of web design, creation, development and maintenance;\nProficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping;\nExcellent knowledge of React JavaScript library;\nKnowledge of OpenLayers and Leaflet libraries; \nKnowledge of content management systems such as Drupal CMS and others; \nApplied machine learning, building real-time streaming AI pipelines, multilingual; embedding models in the frame of operational emergency management systems.\nSKILLS:\nAbility to deliver high-quality technical work efficiently and to agreed standards and timelines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical and computational issues.\nDrive to explore and evaluate new algorithms, frameworks and methods, and assess their applicability to scientific modelling and data-processing challenges \nAbility to work in parallel on multiple tasks \nAbility to produce clear, structured and accurate technical documentation. \nAbility to work in a team as well as autonomously\nAbility to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills \nLanguage knowledge: English B2+\nOffice: Ispra, Italy. Near-site service provision with full time on-site presence, with occasional remote service provision (home-working) upon mutual agreement between customer and contractor.
