You possess deep technical knowledge across various security domains and have a proven ability to drive impactful security initiatives. You have strong communication and collaboration skills and are capable of influencing your peers and other teams to improve our security posture. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to protecting sensitive data.\nAs a Senior Staff Security Engineer, you will be a key technical leader in shaping and executing our security strategy. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to drive significant security initiatives across the organization, ensuring the protection of our SaaS platform and sensitive personal health information. You will be a subject matter expert, mentoring other engineers and members of the Compliance team, and influencing security decisions at a high level.\nWhat you'll do\nDeveloping and maintaining the organization's security architecture, including hands-on work such as implementing new log sources into our SIEM.\nLeading strategic security initiatives and projects from inception to completion.\nResearching and evaluating emerging security technologies and threats to inform our security roadmap. \nDefining and advocating for security standards and best practices across engineering and product teams. \nRepresenting the security team in critical cross-functional projects, providing security guidance and expertise.\nPerforming forensics and other security incident response activities.\nEnsuring permissions and configuration within various components of our system are properly monitored and adhere to the principle of least-privilege.\nQualifications\n8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating security controls into SaaS cloud platforms.\nExperience with system and network exploitation methods, attack pathologies, and intrusion techniques.\nKnowledge of computer forensic tools, technologies and methods.\nDirect experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, and firewalls (particularly related to protection against bot traffic).\nKnowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods.\nExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).\nAbility to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.\nNice-to-have:\nProficient in using generative AI tools (Gemini) to summarize information, draft communications, and enhance research efficiency\nGCP and Crowdstrike experience \n\nPhysical demands and work environment\nThis job is based on-site in Austin, Texas.\nThis is largely a sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed. \nLimited travel may be required.\nWe value being together: We believe being together enables stronger relationships, collaboration, and culture.\nThis position is in office and candidates must be located in Austin, Texas or Madison, Wisconsin.\nPerks at Findhelp\n401k & equity grants\nFully stocked kitchens across all three office locations\nOnsite gym at our Austin HQ \nPaid parental leave\nCompetitive PTO & 10 paid holidays\nComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with 100% company-paid coverage for employee only coverage\nDog-friendly office in Austin HQ\n24/7 access to telemedicine and counseling\nBook Purchasing Program\nWe’re building a diverse, inclusive team\nYou’re welcome here.
