Senior AI Engineer

Main tasks

• Design and implement AI solution components that support business use cases and enterprise applications
• Translate business requirements and data sources into scalable, secure and reusable AI solution concepts
• Develop LLM-based solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search and knowledge ingestion techniques
• Design and implement AI capabilities using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure ML, Document Intelligence and related Azure services
• Build reusable AI components, orchestration layers and API-based integration patterns for enterprise AI solutions
• Support product teams throughout the AI solution lifecycle, from feasibility assessment and prototyping to deployment readiness and monitoring
• Define AI architecture options, evaluation strategies and governance practices to ensure scalable and responsible AI solutions
• Coach development teams on AI implementation best practices, technical trade-offs and production-ready AI capabilities

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an AI Solution Expert, AI Developer, AI Engineer, Solution Architect or similar role
• Strong experience designing and implementing AI solutions for business use cases
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, indexing and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
• Strong experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search
• Experience with Azure ML, Document Intelligence, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions and cloud-native AI services
• Experience with semantic search, vector search, knowledge ingestion, grounding, source traceability and AI evaluation
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture, secure software development, Responsible AI and AI governance
• Experience building reusable AI components and API-based integration patterns

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and AI model lifecycle management
• Experience with Knowledge Graphs, semantic models and domain reasoning
• Experience defining AI architecture decision matrices, cost estimation models and scalable AI delivery approaches
• Experience with MCP and API integration patterns for AI services
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
