develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to collect, transform and load data from multiple sources.\n\nIntegrate data from APIs, databases, applications, event streams and other structured and unstructured sources.\n\nDevelop and optimise data models to support reporting, analytics and business requirements.\n\nDesign, manage and optimise data storage solutions, data warehouses and data lakes.\n\nDevelop automation and orchestration workflows to improve the reliability and efficiency of data processes.\n\nMonitor, troubleshoot and optimise data pipelines to ensure availability, reliability, performance and scalability.\n\nImplement data validation, testing and quality controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve data architecture, processes and infrastructure as the business grows.\n\nSupport the development of data solutions for analytics, reporting and machine learning initiatives.\n\n Business Intelligence and Reporting\n\nDesign, develop and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards and scorecards using Power BI.\n\nGather and analyse business requirements and translate them into effective data models, reports and visualisations.\n\nDevelop efficient queries and data transformation processes to support reporting and analytical requirements.\n\nEnsure consistency and accuracy of data across reporting platforms and business applications.\n\nDevelop and maintain Power BI data models, datasets, reports and dashboards.\n\nConduct data validation, testing and troubleshooting for BI solutions.\n\nMonitor the performance and usability of reports and dashboards and implement improvements where required.\n\nProvide guidance, training and support to business users on Power BI, reporting solutions and data literacy.\n\n Data Governance and Collaboration\n\nImplement data governance, security, access control and compliance best practices in line with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.\n\nMaintain clear documentation covering data definitions, data sources, data lineage, data models and reporting standards.\n\nWork closely with Technology, Product, Finance, Risk, Operations and other business teams to understand their data requirements.\n\nTranslate business needs into practical, scalable and sustainable data solutions.\n\nPromote good data management practices and help improve data literacy across the organisation.\n\nEvaluate new technologies, tools and techniques that could improve the company's data capabilities.\n\n Requirements\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.\n\n2-4 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, Analytics Engineering or a similar role.\n\nStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.\n\nPractical experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.\n\nExperience with data modelling, data warehousing and data transformation.\n\nStrong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and Power Query.\n\nExperience working with APIs and integrating data from multiple sources.\n\nGood understanding of data quality, validation, governance and security principles.\n\nExperience troubleshooting data and pipeline issues.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood understanding of software development and version control practices.\n\nAbility to work independently, take ownership and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\n\n Desirable\n\nExperience with Python for data processing, automation or analytics.\n\nExperience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.\n\nExperience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics or similar data engineering tools.\n\nExperience with SQL Server and/or other relational database technologies.\n\nExperience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar platforms.\n\nExperience working with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or similar.\n\nExperience with Git and CI/CD practices.\n\nExperience working with APIs, JSON and other data exchange formats.\n\nKnowledge of data governance, data lineage and regulatory requirements.\n\nPrevious experience within fintech, payments, banking or another regulated environment would be considered an advantage.\n\nExperience supporting machine learning or advanced analytics projects would be an
