This role works closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the Claims and Absence product meets evolving market needs and delivers exceptional value to insurers and employers.\nThis role will work closely with Sales and Account management in support of new business and upsell opportunities.\nAdditionally, this role will work closely with clients through implementation and after to drive collaboration and understanding of the product vision. In addition, this role will work as a liaison between clients, prospects, and the internal product team to facilitate collaboration and prioritization of product requests and needs.\nThe Principal Product Manager will also work closely with product operations, engineering, and product consulting teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. The role involves defining the product vision, understanding market challenges, and developing a roadmap to address them, as well as building and leading a team to execute the plan.\nResponsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)\nEvangelize the vision for the product suite. Work with the sales team, marketing communications, and executive leadership for customer relationship management, sales enablement, and marketing activities.\nCollaborate with clients and prospects on product requests and new market opportunities.\nCollaborate with product leadership to develop the long-term vision & roadmap for FINEOS Policy, Billing, and New Business and Underwriting, including Actuarial Rating.\nEffectively communicate across the organization regarding the value and strategy behind the Policy Administration, Billing, and Member Management product roadmap\nEvaluate opportunities and determine what gets built and delivered to customers. Make sure that what goes on the product backlog is worth building.\nBecome an acknowledged expert on the customer by using both qualitative and quantitative learning to understand customers and how they use our products.\nWork with subject matter experts to understand and follow key trends in our market, competition, technology, and customer expectations and behaviors and understand the ecosystem and how our products fit.\nUse your deep understanding of our industry, our business, and the role our products play to deliver products that propel our strategic direction. \nResponsible for understanding key stakeholders and their constraints and deliver products consistent with them.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field (Preferred)\n10+ years’ experience in the Employee Benefits industry, ideally within the Group Insurance domain for Group Life, Disability, Medical, Dental and Voluntary Benefits. Roles could span working for an Insurance Carrier, Broker, or Third-Party Administrator (TPA).\nProduct management experience with high complexity enterprise SaaS solutions (ERP, CRM, ITSM, HRM, automation)\nManagement experience leading teams of 3+ direct reports\nExperience leading Agile teams through the complete product management lifecycle, discovery to launch.\nLeadership experience with Mission-critical enterprise systems\nExperience working in Employee Benefits, specifically Group Life, Disability, Voluntary, and Dental products\nExperience creating, marketing, or supporting software products in the US Insurance industry\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExtensive knowledge of the Employee Benefits industry, specifically Group Life, Disability, Voluntary, and Dental\nProven abilities in Product strategy, roadmap planning, and portfolio development\nEffective presentation and communication skills\nSignificant client facing experience, sales support, and negotiation abilities.\nDemonstratable presentation skills, effective communication, and product marketing abilities. \nProficient knowledge of Agile and Scrum Methodologies\nAbility to perform market research and competitive analysis\nTechnical Skills\nProficient in Microsoft Products \nProficient in Admin Suite software \nLanguage Skills\nAbility to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.\nTravel Requirements\nThis position requires up to 30% domestic travel and potential for 5-10% international.\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
