To ensure success, maintenance supervisors should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, cleaning and operation.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nOnboard Maintenance Department Staff\nOrganizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.\nRepair Project Management\nPreforms Departmental Audits PM\nSafety\nRepair Activities\n\nManages Departmental libraries OPL\nManuals\nTrouble Logs\n\nEnsure all employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)\nMaintain safe working practices. This includes, but is not limited to in department managing of the following programs: PPE, lockout-tagout, confined space entry, chemical handling, working at height, etc.\nUnderstand, write, and enforce manufacturing equipment maintenance procedures.\nEnsure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by ensuring team is completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and facilities, including equipment and line changeovers \nDemonstrate creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements\nEnsure equipment is repaired properly and completely to maximize performance and life cycle\nParticipate in special projects on equipment upgrades or installations\nUtilize the specialized technical knowledge each team member possesses to best preform departmental tasking as well as cross training individuals through team ups.\nPractice plant safety guidelines always and enforce them as a part of culture.\nDemonstrate root-cause problem solving to identify and perform equipment repairs and improvements\nWork directly with management to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of reoccurring problems\nRead and interpret schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams, and bill of materials (parts lists)\nCommunicate across shifts, departments, and management regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production lines\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications & Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nMust be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend as required for the entire shift\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds\nMust be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to resolve issues across multiple departments and levels of the organization\nExperience with Microsoft Office Products\nExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)\nAbility to troubleshoot\nExcellent attention to detail\nExperience with sanitary pipes, fittings, and valves.\nExperience with Fluid Power - pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, valves\nExperience with Power Transmission - gear, Sprockets, Chains, Pullies\nAbility to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic\nProficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as multi meter, calipers, flow, temp, and other analog process devices\nWillingness to be a technical leader and trainer within the Maintenance department\n7 years of experience supervising in a food and beverage maintenance environment\n4 years of experience in one of the following beverage manufacturing fields: brewing, extracting, bottling, packaging, or beverage processing\n4 years of experience with automated equipment, (siemens platform). \nExperience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives\nExperience with the following technologies:Variable frequency drive (VFD), sensors: photo eyes, level, pressure, flow\nBeverage processing equipment: brewing, extraction, admix, filling: rotary fillers, bag filling, Form fill seal \nManufacturing lines and changeovers: bottling, bags, pails, totes\nHVAC including boilers, chillers, and air compressors\n\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to work beyond regularly scheduled hours during peak periods or critical operations\nMust possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills to meet essential job performance and safety standards.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasks\nPhysically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment\nCapable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day;
