Responsible for adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, to ensure the production of safe quality products.\nEssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:\nCalibrate and maintain testing equipment in the lab\nComplete pre-run startup checks to ensure materials, equipment, and products meet the specified requirements\nPerform ATP and Allergen swab testing to release equipment post CIP\nInspect, test, and approve bulk ingredient shipments prior to unloading\nInspect, test, and approve each batch of juice before releasing to process\nInspect, test, and approve finished product to ensure it meets the specified requirements\nCollect and store finished product samples following specified guidelines\nIncubate and plate finished product samples for micro testing\nMonitor product tempering for ingredients that require thawing before use\nPlace nonconforming materials and products on hold when identified\nEscalate food safety and quality issues to Quality Supervisor or Manager to ensure they are properly handled\nInspect product safety devices (screens and magnets) throughout the process to ensure ingredients and product is free of contaminants\nComplete required Master Sanitation Scheduled Tasks throughout department\nEnsure all required documentation is complete and accurate\nHelp resolve food safety and quality issues on the production floor\nPractice, teach and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for Quality\nPractice and enforce all Safety policies and procedures\nSupport team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with policies, and minimizing physical hazards to promote an overall safe work environment\nPerform all other duties as assigned\nEducation and Skills\nHigh school diploma or GED, and 2 yearswork experience in a manufacturing environment\nRead, write, speak, and comprehend English\nComprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of a calculator\nBasic computer and data entry skills\nPossess mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment.\nAbility to communicate both written and orally within the organization\nAbility to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center\nTeam Oriented - being helpful, respectful, approachable, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment, is responsible, honest, loyal, interacting with others tactfully, resolving conflicts appropriately, and adapting to change \nAbility to manage time efficiently\nAbility to work well under changing demands\nFollow verbal and written instructions\nMust have good work ethics, be highly motivated, and be a hands-on problem solver\nAbility to detect, recognize, and judge discrepancies\nRequires accuracy, reliability, and attention to quality\nPhysical Demands\nVision, hearing, and speaking to meet performance standards\nClimb ladder up to 10 feet off the ground using safety equipment provided\nAbility to stand and/or walk for long periods, reach, push, pull, lift, climb, stoop, squat, and use manual dexterity to work with the following tools: blending machines, scales, pallet jacks, drum dollies, mops, brooms, portable stairs, hoses, forklifts etc.\nAbility to safely lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis and move heavier weights using proper equipment and/or team lifting techniques\nWork Environment\nEmployees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilation. Workenvironment may involve exposure to inclement weather.
