We are the fastest-growing European fintech in 2025 and are trusted by Europe's most ambitious platforms like Wolt, Delivery Hero, Just Eat Takeaway, Guesty and FREENOW.\nJoin our global team of builders who are nerdy, relentless, and obsessed with solving hard problems that others will not.\nAbout the opportunity\nAs a Capital Markets Intern, you will:\nWork directly with our Capital Markets Operations Manager and Head of Capital Markets.\n\nExperience the day-to-day running of structured finance facilities.\n\nAssist with analytical and operational projects, working alongside Tech and Commercial stakeholders.\n\nGain exposure to the design and execution of structured finance transactions, working with industry-leading investors and development finance institutions (DFIs).\n\nWhat you need to be successful:\nYou have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field.\n\nIdeally, you have already gained experience in the financial services industry (banking, asset management, fintech etc.) or in consulting.\n\nYou are based in (or willing to relocate to) Cape Town, London or Berlin for the internship, depending on the role.\n\nWhat you will be doing in the role:\nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nCalculating and analysing daily liquidity availability across facilities, ensuring figures are accurate and available to support timely funding and drawdown decisions.\n\nPreparing supporting files and requests for drawdowns and other funding requests, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate for submission.\n\nMaintaining note registers across facilities, keeping records of issuances, transfers, and balances up to date and consistent with underlying facility documentation.\n\nCalculating lender interest and fees and maintaining supporting records, ensuring accruals and payments are correctly tracked over time.\n\nAdministering invoicing and payments, including preparing invoices, tracking payment status, and following up to ensure timely settlement.\n\nSupporting VAT filing and analysis, including preparing supporting schedules and assisting with review of VAT treatment where relevant.\n\nAdministering facility documentation, including supporting equity injections, redemptions, and issuances, and ensuring documentation is complete and properly filed.\n\nSupporting annual and ad hoc audits, including preparing requested schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to auditor queries.\n\nSupporting the preparation of account reconciliations and identifying and helping resolve discrepancies across facility and cash accounts.\n\nProviding administrative and data support for new launches and facilities, including data gathering, setup tasks, and coordination across teams.\n\nSupporting automation initiatives and financial projections, helping streamline existing processes and contributing to forward-looking analysis.\n\nSupporting the preparation of analysis and diligence materials for discussions with lenders and development finance institutions (DFIs), giving direct exposure to how large institutional funding relationships are built and maintained\n\nContributing to financial modelling and scenario analysis that feeds into strategic funding decisions across our lending facilities\n\nMust-have skills:\nFluent written and spoken English\n\nConfident, presentable, and able to interact directly with a wide variety of stakeholders.\n\nNice-to-have skills:\nExcellent analytical skills and the ability to identify, recommend and implement solutions based on large and complicated datasets.\n\nProject management skills.\n\nProficiency in creating insightful reports, visualisations and presentations.\n\nTraits:\nYou are analytical and enjoy structuring abstract problems into actionable recommendations.\n\nYou are a fast learner and work well within a fast-paced work environment.\n\nYou actively help yourself (and others) to be successful.\n\nYou give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback.\n\nBenefits\nWork for one of the hottest fintech companies in Germany and Europe as an early member of the team.\n\nRecognised on Sifted’s fastest-growing companies list and CNBC’s Top 500 fintechs in the world.\n\nGain valuable industry experience and learn about structured finance and credit risk.\n\nWe see ourselves as “distributed first” but also have co-working options.\n\nWe are flexible and cover whatever you need to be as productive as possible (e.g. MacOS).\n\nOpen-minded and transparent culture that includes regular get together meetings (e.g. All Hands, Founders “Ask Me Anything”, Offsite).\n\nEnjoy a paid internship, providing financial support while you gain invaluable experience.\n\nWe're looking for people with passion, grit and integrity.
