We are expanding into card issuing, and this role will own the day-to-day operations of our card program.\nFinmo cards is a new program, so this is a build-from-scratch role. You will design and put in place the card processes and operational controls (settlement, reconciliation, authorization monitoring, disputes, and card fulfillment) and then run them day to day. You will report to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and work closely with Product, Finance and Compliance, as well as our scheme, processor, and card production partners.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nBuild and own card operations\nCreate card operating processes, controls, and documentation from scratch for a new program\nSet up the reporting, escalation paths, and vendor management routines needed to scale\n\nSettlement and reconciliation\nMonitor settlement amounts and fund settlement accounts daily\nReconcile settlement amounts against transaction records and resolve breaks\nReconcile scheme and vendor fees\n\nAuthorization and performance\nMonitor approval and decline rates, investigate authorization failures, and drive fixes with processors and internal teams\nTrack and report KPIs: authorization rates, fraud losses, dispute rates, and total vendor costs\n\nDisputes, fraud, and customer support\nInvestigate disputes and chargebacks, manage fraud cases, and report on outcomes\nHandle customer escalations and card-related queries with a high standard of service\n\nScheme reporting\nPrepare quarterly reports to Visa \nKeep operations aligned with scheme rules and program requirements\n\nVendor management\nManage card production, shipping, activation, and replacements\nHold vendors to SLAs and escalate issues\nWork through vendor-related customer queries\n\nRequirements\n5-8 years in card operations, payments operations, or issuing, with at least 2-3 years running part of a live card program \nExperience setting up or significantly improving operational processes, ideally in a new or early-stage program\nHands-on experience with settlement, reconciliation, and chargeback/dispute processes under Visa and/or Mastercard rules\nStrong analytical skills: comfortable with large transaction datasets and building KPI dashboards\nExperience managing third-party vendors against SLAs\nClear written and verbal communication, including with partners and senior stakeholders\nDetail-oriented, with a strong sense of control and risk\n\nWho You Are\nOwner: you take responsibility for outcomes and don't wait for instructions.\nBuilder: you're comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy creating processes from scratch, with no existing playbook.\nCross-functional: you work well with cross functional teams and you explain issues clearly.\nPace-ready: you can balance daily operational discipline with fast-moving priorities\nOur Commitment to Fairness\nFinmo is an inclusive, people-first workplace that values merit and performance.
