We bring together expertise in technology, data, architecture, integrations, and operational development to build reliable digital capabilities that support operational workflows and decision-making across the airline.\nWe are now looking for a\nBUSINESS ANALYST\nto join our Intelligent Operations team at Finnair!\nIn this role, you will help improve how data and analytics are used across Finnair's airline operations. You will work closely with operational stakeholders to understand their daily work, the challenges they face, and the information they need to make better decisions.\nWe are looking for someone with a genuine interest in airline operations who enjoys working with both people and data. You should be comfortable analyzing data, understanding how it is structured, and turning business needs into practical solutions.\nAs a Business Analyst, you will work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Digital Product Owners, and other Digital teams and Business stakeholders to develop reporting, analytics, and digital solutions that support operational decision-making.\nIn this role, you will:\nWork with operational stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and decision-making needs.\nTranslate business needs into clear requirements, data definitions, business rules, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for analytical and digital solutions.\nAnalyze data to investigate business problems, identify patterns, and support operational decision-making.\nCollaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Digital Product Owners on data modelling, technical requirements, and solution development.\nSupport testing and validation of reports, dashboards, data models, and analytical solutions, including data quality and accuracy.\nHelp stakeholders understand analytical findings, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.\nEnsure that solutions follow relevant data security, privacy, and governance requirements.\nFrom you, we wish:\nExperience in business analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a similar role.\nA genuine interest in understanding business operations and improving them through data and analytics.\nPractical experience with Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Git.\nHands-on experience in data modelling, including designing and maintaining data models for reporting and analytics.\nGood understanding of data quality, data transformation, and modern data platforms.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.\nGood communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams, take ownership, and drive work forward.\nExperience with agile development practices and digital product development.\nKnowledge of Python, airline operations, or another operationally critical environment is considered an advantage.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExcellent written and spoken English is required; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.\nWorking at Finnair:\nWe offer you an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-changing aviation and international travel industry in a culture that drives and enables professional development and continuous improvement.
