We bring together expertise in technology, data, architecture, integrations, and operational development to build reliable digital capabilities that support operational workflows and decision-making across the airline.\nWe are now looking for an\nIT Product Owner, Operations Control\nto join our Intelligent Operations team at Finnair.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of digital applications supporting Finnair's Operations Control. These include vendor applications, internally developed solutions, and integrations that support daily operations and decision-making.\nWe are looking for someone with a genuine interest in airline operations and a good understanding of technology. You will work closely with operational stakeholders to understand their daily work, the challenges they face, and how digital solutions can help.\nAs an IT Product Owner, you will work with business stakeholders, internal Digital teams, architects, and external vendors to plan and deliver development initiatives. You will need to understand both business needs and technical considerations, including how applications and integrations fit into the wider IT landscape.\nMain responsibilities\nOwn and maintain the product backlog, development priorities, and roadmap for assigned Operations Control applications\nWork with operational stakeholders to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define development needs\nTranslate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria\nPrioritize development based on business value, operational needs, technical dependencies, and available resources\nCoordinate development activities with internal Digital teams, architects, and external vendors\nWork with architects and technical teams to ensure that solutions align with the existing architecture and integration landscape\nCoordinate testing, releases, and the implementation of new features with relevant stakeholders\nGather user feedback, follow up on delivered solutions, and drive continuous improvement\nSupport application lifecycle management, including upgrades, maintenance, and resolution of operational issues.\nOur expectations\nSeveral years of experience in IT product ownership, application development, business analysis, application management, or a similar role\nExperience in requirements management, development prioritization, and coordinating deliveries\nA genuine interest in business operations and how technology can improve them\nGood understanding of solution architecture, integrations, APIs, software development lifecycles, and agile practices\nAbility to balance business needs and technical considerations when making decisions\nExperience working with business stakeholders, development teams, architects, and external vendors\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture\nA proactive and collaborative working style, with the ability to take ownership and drive work forward\nKnowledge of airline operations, particularly Operations Control, is considered an advantage\nBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience\nExcellent written and spoken Finnish and English are required.\nWorking at Finnair\nWe offer you an exciting opportunity in the multifaceted and fast-changing aviation and travel industry, along with a great team and wide personal development opportunities.
