The intern will work on an existing codebase across front-end React, back-end Node.js/Express services and MCP integrations, shipping features to production.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWhat you'll work on:\n\nWeb app (React): build and polish screens for financials, the cap table, valuation comps, cash flow and the in-app AI chat.\n\nBackend (Node.js, Express): add API routes, data models and database migrations, and keep the Xero and Google Sheets connections reliable.\n\nMCP server: build the tools Claude uses to read and update a company's data, with investor access controls.\n\nIntegrations: Xero and Google Sheets, Drive and Docs APIs, plus AI features built on Gemini and Claude.\n\nDeployment: ship to Railway and Neon, monitor background refresh jobs, and fix production issues.\n\nQuality and security: write tests, set up automatic test runs (CI) on GitHub, and help prepare for client security reviews.\n\nRequirements\n\nWhat you need:\n\nSolid TypeScript or JavaScript, with React on the front end and Node.js on the back end.\n\nSQL and a relational database, ideally PostgreSQL.\n\nEveryday Git and GitHub: branches, pull requests and code review.\n\nExperience deploying at least one app and keeping it running (Railway, Render, Vercel, Fly.io, AWS or similar).\n\nWorking grasp of REST APIs, sessions and OAuth sign-in flows.\n\nAbility to open an unfamiliar large codebase (60,000+ lines) and explain its structure quickly.\n\nWillingness to learn finance concepts (P&L, forecast, cap table).\n\nNice to have:\n\nPrisma, Vite or Express.\n\nExperience building with LLM APIs (Gemini, Claude or OpenAI), function calling, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP).\n\nThird-party APIs such as Xero, Google Workspace or Stripe.\n\nBackground job queues and scheduled tasks.\n\nSetting up CI with GitHub Actions.\n\nCoursework or interest in finance, accounting or startups.\n\nInternship details:\n\nLocation: Remote\n\nDuration: 3 months\n\nStart date: November 2026\n\nHours: Full-time, Monday to Friday\n\nHow to apply:\n\nEmail  with the subject \"Full-Stack Intern – Founder's Tool\" and include: \n\nYour CV;
