This is a full-time role, managing accounting operations and financial reporting for a number of FSM clients. This is a great opportunity to build a team, implement best practices, and help scale both the company and its clients.\nResponsibilities\nLeadership of FSM staff accountants; planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions for clients\nTake ownership of the monthly financial close, reconciliation of accounts and G/L analysis for clients (key accounts such as revenue, unearned revenue, and accrued expenses)\nPrepare month-end reporting package with financial statements and variance analysis for clients\nReview and ensure journal entries are posted accurately\nReview and ensure client GL accounts are accurately reconciled\nManage clients’ back office finance functions (e.g., A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.)\nAssess clients’ current account operations, make recommendations for improvement and implementing new systems and processes\nEnsure deliverables meet the firm’s quality standards\nIdentify and communicate engagement matters to clients, managers and partners\nProvide five-star client service\nJob Requirements\nProfessional background\nStrong understanding of financial statement preparation and account reconciliations\nComprehensive knowledge of cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting\nKnowledgeable in all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Revenue Recognition (i.e. ASC 606)\nOutstanding technology and systems skills\nExpert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel\nStrong analytical skills\nHiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff\nSoft skills\nAbility to handle multiple engagements simultaneously\nCommitment and ability to meet critical business deadlines\nStrong communication and ability to interact with internal and external partners\nSelf-starter with strong organizational skills\nExceptional attention to detail\nExcellent research and problem-solving skills\nSomeone who is always looking to learn and improve;
