You will proactively identify and remediate security risks, strengthen cloud governance, improve system resilience, and embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.\nThis role works closely with Engineering, IT, Security, and Product teams to build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure that supports Fintel Connect's business objectives.\nThe Responsibilities:\nAWS Cloud Infrastructure & Security\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure following AWS and industry best practices.\nRemediate vulnerabilities identified through:Penetration testing\nAWS Security Hub\nAWS Inspector\nCloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) findings\nSOC 2 control assessments\n\nPerform security hardening across cloud environments and patch management, prioritizing Critical and High severity vulnerabilities (CVEs).\nConduct regular reviews of AWS environments using the AWS Well-Architected Framework and recommend improvements for:Security\nReliability\nPerformance\nScalability\nCost optimization\nOperational excellence\n\nAdminister AWS networking and infrastructure security, including: VPCs, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Firewalls\nImplement and maintain AWS Control Tower and governance best practices.\nUtilize AWS Trusted Advisor to improve security, performance, and cost efficiency.\nContinuously identify and remove unused or legacy cloud resources.\nInfrastructure Automation & Reliability\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.\nAutomate cloud infrastructure deployment and operational processes.\nImprove infrastructure consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.\nDesign and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.\nConduct periodic Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).\nSupport capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.\nCloud Security Operations\nImplement continuous monitoring across AWS environments.\nMonitor logs, metrics, and alerts for suspicious activity.\nInvestigate and respond to security incidents.\nCollaborate with Security teams to perform root cause analysis and implement preventative controls.\nImprove cloud detection and response capabilities.\nDevSecOps & CI/CD Security\nSecure CI/CD pipelines in accordance with Secure Pipeline Verification Standard (SPVS) and OWASP Secure Pipeline Verification guidance.\nRemediate vulnerabilities findings identified through:CI/CD security assessments and penetration testing\nGitHub Advanced Security\nSAST (Static Application Security Testing)\nDAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing)\nSoftware Composition Analysis (SCA)\n\nImplement and maintain API security testing solutions such as OWASP ZAP.\nCollaborate with development teams to embed security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).\nMongoDB Administration\nMaintain and support MongoDB environments.\nManage database access, permissions, authentication, and credential lifecycle.\nPerform periodic access reviews and credential rotation.\nEnhance MongoDB monitoring and auditing and monitoring audit logs for suspicious or unauthorized activities\nSupport database performance tuning, availability, backup, and recovery.\nPlatform Monitoring & Observability\nEnhance monitoring, logging, and alerting across cloud infrastructure.\nImprove platform observability using Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent solutions.\nDevelop operational dashboards and proactive alerting.\nReduce operational risk through continuous monitoring.\nThe Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevSecOps, or a related role.\nOne or more AWS certifications preferred:AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional\nAWS Certified Security - Specialty\nAWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional\n\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, infrastructure, security architecture, and AWS security services.\nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.\nExperience managing CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into software delivery processes.\nExperience with vulnerability management, cloud security tooling, and remediation.\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch.\nExperience administering MongoDB in production environments\nFamiliarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web frameworks such as React.js is an asset.\nExperience supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to work towards tight deadlines\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving\nAt Fintel Connect, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace as an equal opportunity employer.
