In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps solutions that support our mission to make space accessible. You'll work closely with IT teams, software engineering, and system engineering teams to automate deployment pipelines, optimize infrastructure, and ensure system reliability across our technology stack.\nKey Responsibilities\nSolution Development\nDesign and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform to provision and manage cloud and on-premises resources\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes\nCreate automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention\nContribute to designing scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical aerospace applications\nImplement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system health and performance\nTroubleshooting & Support\nDiagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues across Linux-based systems\nProvide technical support for development teams, including troubleshooting build failures and deployment issues\nPerform root cause analysis on system failures and implement preventive measures\nRespond to and resolve incidents in a timely manner, including participation in on-call rotation\nOptimize system performance through proactive monitoring and tuning\nSystem Administration\nAdminister and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) in development, staging, and production environments\nManage version control systems and implement Git workflows and branching strategies\nEnsure security best practices are implemented across all infrastructure components\nMaintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures\nCollaborate with security teams to implement compliance and security controls\nRequired Skills\nStrong proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS), including shell scripting (Bash, Python)\nTerraform: Demonstrated experience using and maintaining Terraform modules and managing infrastructure-as-code\nJenkins: Hands-on experience designing and managing Jenkins pipelines, including pipeline-as-code\nGit: Demonstrated knowledge of Git version control, including branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and repository management\nAutomation: Strong scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages\nProblem-solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS, routing, and load balancing\nStrong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nPreferred Qualifications\n2-3 years experience of DevOps experience in a corporate environment\nExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)\nKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\nFamiliarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack)\nExperience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)\nUnderstanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks\nRelevant certifications (Linux+, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes)\nFirefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, relocation benefits, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nFirefly Aerospace, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
