If you have a knack for problem-solving and enjoy working collaboratively in a small team, we have exciting opportunities for you to join our Flight Software group as an Aerospace Software Engineer!\nThe Flight Software group is responsible for the design and implementation of high-reliability application-level software for Firefly Launch Vehicles and spacecraft. As an Aerospace Software Engineer, you will work in a small collaborative group through all stages of the launch vehicle and spacecraft design.\nAs a key member of our team, you will help develop, test, and integrate the flight software for Firefly Spacecraft. You will work in a group of flight software engineers through all stages of the flight software development processes and collaborate with other engineering teams.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide technical leadership on the Flight Software Team to develop, design, test, and integrate flight software\nDesign, implementation, and maintenance of high reliability C++ software\nPerform work on time, meeting all functional and performance requirements\nWork closely with the other engineering groups for the success of Firefly programs\nAdhere to the Aerospace Software Engineering Group’s processes, procedures, and best practices\nSupport various vehicle testing and operation events, including launch\nDesign, implementation and maintenance of internal software tools using Python\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or a related field\nExcellent understanding of Object-Oriented Design and the C++ programming language\n7+ years’ experience in a software engineering position, or similar\nFamiliarity with real-time operating systems, software, and the Linux operating system\nAbility to work closely with other teammates and in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines\nAbility to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nDesired\nMaster’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or a related field\nUnderstanding of data path pipelines, state machines, and arithmetic operation\n7+ years’ experience in an aerospace software engineering or related position\nExperience deploying and using CI/CD pipelines for C++ software\nAbility understand and disposition C++ static analysis results\nFirefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, relocation benefits, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nFirefly Aerospace, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
