Headquartered in north Austin, Texas, Firefly is looking for passionate, hardworking innovators to join our team and help fuel our successful trajectory into space.\nSUMMARY\nVehicle Integration Technicians are responsible for the efficient and successful assembly of the Alpha Launch vehicle. This requires the ability to intuitively understand the intention behind design decisions and execute assembly based on those intentions. A strong background in in production or maintenance of complex mechanical systems such as in aviation or automotive industries is required. The role also includes travel to the launch site in order to supported integrated vehicle and launch pad operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nFollow complex assembly procedures and work instructions\nExecute integration processes\nSafely operate high pressure pneumatic, cryogenic, and fuel systems\nStage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware\nUtilize necessary tooling and fixturing\nFollow complex planning instructions for assembly and integration for the assembly of all vehicle subsystems.\nCommunicate effectively with engineers and teammates.\nIdentify discrepancies between design and manufacture/assembly and resolve them\nSupport engineering in defining manufacturability, producibility, and assembly of design using industry standard parts and products\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired\nMinimum 2 years experience with complex assemblies, e.g. production in aviation/automotive, Oil Rig maintenance/assembly\nProficient use of Pneumatic tools, hand tools, Power tools, and Precision measurement instruments\nProven experience with complex assemblies, e.g. production in aviation/automotive, Oil Rig maintenance/assembly.\nProven experience with complex troubleshooting\nComfortable working within an evolving process\nFlexibility regarding workflow and process\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to convey methodologies for assembly and troubleshooting\nGeneral knowledge of basic hand tools and their use\nWilling to travel up to 30%\nDesired\nA&P License is preferred\nRelevant Military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance is highly desired\nTwo or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields.Rocket engines, turbomachinery, or complex component assemblyTroubleshooting/Repairing/Testing of pneumatic and/or cryogenic valves, fluid systems, actuators, or components.Civilian/Military aircraft engine experience\nFirefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, relocation benefits, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nFirefly Aerospace, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
