At Fireye, we work every day to make a meaningful impact.\nAbout This Role\nFireye is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Derry, NH.\nReporting to the Controller, this position will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, inventory management, and manufacturing cost accounting.\nThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment. This individual will work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities for process improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nGeneral Accounting & Financial Reporting\nPerform general ledger accounting activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end adjustments.\nPrepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and accounts.\nPrepare the daily sales monitoring report and other management reporting as needed.\nInvestigate account discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.\nSupport internal and external audit activities, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.\nMaintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and internal control requirements.\nManufacturing Cost Accounting & Inventory\nAnalyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate product costing and financial reporting.\nMaintain and review standard costs, bills of materials, and manufacturing cost records.\nPerform manufacturing variance analysis, including material usage, labor efficiency, overhead, and purchase price variances.\nReview shop orders, investigate cost discrepancies, and partner with Operations to resolve variances.\nOversee inventory accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.\nEvaluate inventory adjustments, obsolete and slow-moving inventory, and inventory valuation accuracy.\nPartner with operations teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency.\nFinancial Analysis & Process Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.\nSupport ERP system improvements (IFS) and ensure the integrity of financial and manufacturing data.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and operational issues.\nProvide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as business needs require.\nPerform other accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.\nStrong understanding of GAAP and internal accounting controls.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Operations, and other departments.\nPreferred\nExperience with IFS or a comparable manufacturing ERP system.\nExperience supporting financial audits.\nExperience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements.\nWork Environment\nFull-time, office-based position located in Derry, NH, with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor.\nCollaborative environment requiring close partnership with Finance, Operations, Production, and other functional departments.\nWhy Join Fireye?\nAt Fireye, we offer a collaborative work environment where innovation, accountability, and professional growth are encouraged.
