Regional Data Product Owner - APAC sits at the intersection of product, commercial, data, and engineering. You will own Firmable's APAC data product end to end: what's in it, how good it is, where the gaps are, and what gets built next.
This is not a traditional PM role. You'll be deep in the data yourself - running your own analysis, identifying gaps at the record level, and working directly with a dedicated data engineering pod to close them. You'll also think commercially: what attributes drive customer value, where are competitors weak, and what new data opportunities can Firmable uniquely unlock?
~75% hands-on execution. ~25% strategy, stakeholder collaboration, and pod leadership.
What You'll Own
APAC data product roadmap - coverage expansion, new data categories, quality benchmarks, and competitive differentiation across ANZ, SEA, and new markets
Data quality & coverage - own the QA framework; run your own queries; identify structural gaps by industry, geography, and field; drive the pod to close them continuously
Data engineering pod - lead a dedicated pod responsible for ingestion, enrichment, and quality; translate strategy into well-scoped engineering work at pace
Commercial feedback loop - work with Sales and CS to understand which data attributes win deals and drive retention; feed that directly into roadmap priorities
New data opportunities - identify net-new data categories, evaluate vendor partnerships, and explore how LLM-based enrichment can create data points competitors can't replicate
What We're Looking For
Must Haves
Genuinely hands-on with data - you write SQL, run your own investigations, and form independent views on what the data says
Experience owning a data product or data domain commercially - accountability for quality and coverage, not just how it's built
Strong product thinking - you can translate customer needs into a prioritised roadmap with measurable outcomes
Enough engineering fluency to work credibly alongside a data engineering team
Sharp commercial instincts - you think about data in terms of value delivered, not technical completeness
You live and breathe AI tools. You use agentic AI workflows - coding assistants, automated analysis, AI-driven research - as your default way of working, not a productivity experiment. In 2026, this is how we move fast and you need to already be doing it.
Highly Valued
Experience with B2B data: company databases, firmographics, people data, or business signals
Familiarity with entity resolution challenges: ABNs, trading names, multi-location businesses, registry matching
Knowledge of APAC data landscapes - Australian business registrations, Southeast Asian company registries
Experience with LLM-based data enrichment and extraction at scale
Prior startup or scaleup experience where you've had to define the standard, not inherit it
