What You'll Do
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Representative to join our finance team, with a primary focus on collections and payment follow-ups. This role is responsible for managing outstanding customer balances, initiating contact with clients regarding overdue invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, persistence, and a customer-service mindset to maintain positive client relationships while effectively reducing aged receivables.
Responsibilities:
Monitor aging reports and identify delinquent accounts
Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on overdue payments
Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve billing disputes
Document all collection activities and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with the billing and sales teams to resolve account discrepancies
Escalate unresolved accounts to management or third-party collection agencies as needed
What You Will Need to be Successful:
Proven experience in case management or customer service roles.
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in sales support or account management is a plus.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Proficiency in creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate ideas and information to various audiences.
High proficiency in standard MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
What You May Need to be Successful:
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and tact
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to work graveyard shifts and during Philippine holidays
Completion of an accounting-related course is a plus
At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections is preferred
