This role is ideal for someone with strong manual testing experience who is\npassionate about high-quality software delivery and enjoys partnering closely with product and\ndevelopment teams. The Software QA Specialist will focus primarily on manual testing, with\nopportunities to learn automation over time\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications and backend services.\nPerform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality and ensure quality.\nIdentify, document, and track defects through established bug tracking tools, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.\nCollaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.\n Validate bug fixes, conduct re-testing, and support release cycles.\nProvide clear reporting of test results and quality metrics to QA leadership and projectstakeholders.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing documentation, and bestpractices.\n\nProvide input to the development team on testability, usability, and quality improvements.\nSupport release readiness activities to ensure all components meet quality standards prior todeployment.\n\n What we're looking for2-5 years of experience as a Software QA Specialist, QA Engineer, or similar role.\nStrong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT).\nAbility to test both UI and API components (Postman or similar tools preferred).\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum processes.\nExperience using bug and project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.\nAbility to create clear, accurate test cases, test scenarios, and defect documentation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.\n Nice to Have (Not Required)Basic knowledge of test automation concepts or willingness to learn (Selenium, Playwright, TestCafe, etc.).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD environments and software release cycles.\nExperience with mobile application testing.\nExperience executing cross-browser or cross-platform testing.\nBasic understanding of SQL or RDBMS scripting for test data validation\nWhy First Advantage is Your Next Big Career MoveFirst Advantage is going through a technology transformation!
