The individual will ensure the project team delivers consistently exceptional service to our clients through excellent project management and delivers world-class events that exceed client expectations. Along with other FIRST team members,the Team Lead, Event Management will represent the FIRST Solutions brand on-site within a well-known tech company. This position is ideal for a corporate event planning professional with prior experience managing and motivating team members.\nYour Contributions\nThe Team Lead, Event Management works to coordinate staff assignments and workload for both onsite and digital events\nReviews requests sent by event intake team and confirms space, approvals and other pertinent information prior to assigning\nAdvise on the planning and execution of events for designated high profile groups, overseeing execution of larger scale events\nSupport and coordinate the delivery of events as needed\nHandles event escalations\nManages monthly audit reports as required by client and internal management\nPartner with the client on various strategic initiatives and projects \nDirectly manage a team of direct reports\nDevelop, mentor, and provide feedback to team members on an on-going basis\nOversee workload of team ensuring day-to-day understanding of capacity/pressure points and assisting/offering guidance on team’s events where required\nManage vacation schedules, ensuring appropriate team coverage and review all expense reports\nOversee the on-boarding/off-boarding process for all employees\nEnsure team adheres to standard operating procedures and compliance processes\nManage and promote communications to all team members to ensure maximum efficiency\nPartner with FIRST People & Culture on all company initiatives, recruiting, and employee relations matters\nEnsure the team maintains positive relationships with clients\nEnsure the team is providing value to clients and seeking value-adds where possible\nEncourage and motivate the team to be knowledgeable of best practices and services, and to be proactive with ideas and creative solutions\nWhat We Are Looking For\n8-10 years of relevant experience\nStrong people management skills with the ability to lead by example\nThis role will be assigned to a primary location but will require flexibility to be deployed to support across the campus(es) as required\nExcellent written and oral communication skills at all levels \nDecision maker and problem solver with a collaborative/team-player attitude\nPositive and caring approach to team management\nExperience working cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment\nCreative problem solver, resourceful, team player\nAdaptability to situations and ever-changing demands\nHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines\nExcellent time management and multi-tasking skills\nAmbitious and proactive with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure\nExperience working on large and complex databases\nMust be fluent in English\nAssume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies while having clean smart surroundings \nWork intelligently and ensure management is aware of problems or issues which negatively affect productivity\nBuild excellent relationship with team through positive communications\nEnsure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter and more efficiently\nWork on ad hoc requests from clients as required\nAt FIRST, we believe that our success is driven by the passion, creativity, and commitment of our teams.
