First American will always strive to be a great place to work, for all.What We Do\nResponsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all bank investor custodial accounts. Validate system activity to daily bank activity utilizing various investor and system reports, including GSE forms and schedules. Follow processes to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize company risk for monetary loss, legal action, and charge offs. Participate in audit exams. Work closely with internal teams to align processes and guidelines.Requires a solid understanding of area of specialization. Resolves a wide range of issues with detailed research. Uses functional knowledge to bring insight to the role, identify issues and inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nReconcile assigned GSE and asset bank accounts and loan activity timely while following departmental policies and guidelines\nBalance daily cashbook to identify remittance differences between loan servicing system and remittance reports\nValidate bank statement activity against loan servicing system and GSE reports\nWork closely with internal teams and other business units to ensure that processes align with internal and external department guidelines\nEstablish and maintain close working relationships with internal and external business groups to ensure all issues and concerns are resolved in a timely manner\nAssist in reviewing and responding to audit exam requests - internal, external, investor, regulatory and state\nGenerate error log reports and follow escalation procedures to communicate process breaks to business units and management\nReview payment applications for compliance with investor and Company guidelines\nPerform analysis and reviews on new reporting formats and or proposed changes to reconciliation requirements\nInteracts with other departmental personnel to ensure new servicing/reporting requirements are in place and functioning as expected\nAssist in maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with company and Investor Guidelines\nWHAT YOU’LL BRING\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nSome college preferred\nMinimum of 2 years of related experience, including investor accounting and/or reporting, required. \nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations\nStrong analytical and resolution skills\nProficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external sources\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\nGreat attention to detail and organizational skills\nAbility to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills\nSelf-motivated; self-starter\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergent problems\nProficient in Microsoft Office\nPay Range: $21.24-$28.31 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
