Make a difference - for us and for your future.\nPosition Title: Network Engineer 2Business Unit: Technology\nReports To: Manager of Network Engineering\nPosition Overview:\nThis position is primarily responsible for monitoring and reviewing all network devices for security vulnerabilities, proper patch management, virus and spyware prevention and other duties as necessary to keep our customer information safe and secure.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAssesses networks for vulnerabilities keeping operating systems current and personal computers locked down.\nReviews all security patches for proper levels.\nReviews network event logs for unexpected activities and non-corporation hardware.\nChecks for virus and spy-ware outbreaks and makes sure all personal computers and servers have the latest protection.\nMonitors and maintains server and personal computer administrator user ids and passwords and ensures passwords are strong and changed as staff turns over.\nKeeps up-to-date laptop and personal digital assistant (PDA) inventories and periodically reviews them to ensure most current patch levels and virus signatures are being used.\nCoordinates yearly modem inventory keeping these at a minimum.\nReviews internal internet usage and provides written reports of internet abuse.\nAssists in risk assessment testing and penetration testing and scheduling.\nMonitors intrusion detection and firewall logs. Recommends changes to security programs and policies as needed.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nAll employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by F.N.B.
