At First Quality, you’ll find a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning, professional development, and our mission to Make Things Better®.\nPurpose and role of job:\nWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our First Quality Print & Packaging facility located in Anderson, SC. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components.\nPrincipal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:\nObserves all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.\n\nFollows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.\n\nRepairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.\n\nTroubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.\n\nOperates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, adjustments, and repairs can be tested when complete.\n\nPerforms preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment.\n\nMaintains a clean and orderly work area.\n\nPerforms preventive/predictivemaintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings promptly.\n\nShares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.\n\nAttends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.\n\nCompletes all paperworkcorrectly and submits in a timely fashion.\n\nPerforms other duties as necessary when directed to do so.\n\nEducation and experience requirements:\nCompletion of all required maintenance training and assessments.\n\nStandard mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.\n\nStandard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.\n\nStandard knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.\n\nGood communication and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.\n\nAbility to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.\n\nElectrical experience preferred.\n\nAbility to work in a team orientedenvironment.\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nThree years of industrial experience or equivalent required.\n\nTechnical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.\n\nWork Environment:\nWork in an environment with the potential for exposure to dust during certain tasks.\n\nWork in an environment with potential exposure to marked changes in humidity.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nWalk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.\n\nOccasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.\n\nOccasional climbing and reaching\n\nOccasional reaching overhead during shift.\n\nFrequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift\n\nFrequent lifting or carrying items/product.\n\nConstant use of hands\n\nConstant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.\n\nOperation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.\n\nDaily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.\n\nOccasional climbing of steps.\n\nBalance required for some tasks.\n\nMaintains 5s housekeeping standards\n\nWhat We Offer You\nWe believe that by continuously improving the quality of our benefits, we can help to raise the quality of life for our team members and their families.
