We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead operations during the night shift. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Extrusion, Flexographic Printing Press, and Warehouse departments to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production and on-time fulfillment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can drive performance during off-hours with minimal direct oversight.\nPrimary responsibilities include:\nLead & People Development\nDirectly supervise, coach, and develop production teams across Extrusion, Flexographic Printing, and Warehouse operations (including operators, technicians, material handlers, and leads).\nOwn performance management, succession planning, and talent development. Conduct performance evaluations in partnership with Department Leaders.\nFoster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement on the night shift.\nFoster tight cross-functional partnership with Maintenance, Quality, Procurement and HR.\nEnsure adequate staffing levels and coordinate cross-training to maintain operational flexibility.\nProduction & Operational Excellence\nOversee daily production schedules for extrusion lines, flexographic printing presses, and warehouse activities to meet or exceed output, quality, and delivery targets.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including OEE, scrap/waste reduction, uptime, throughput, and labor efficiency.\nTroubleshoot production issues in real-time, coordinating with maintenance and engineering as needed to minimize downtime.\nImplement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement initiatives.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards through effective process control and inspection.\nMaintain compliance with all company policies, safety regulations (OSHA), food safety (SQF), and GMP standards.\nLead or participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or safety incidents.\nWarehouse & Logistics\nOversee warehouse operations including inventory accuracy, material movement, finished goods storage, and shipping/receiving during the night shift.\nEnsure proper material flow from extrusion through printing to warehousing to support efficient order fulfillment.\nSafety & Housekeeping\nChampion safety programs and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all responsible areas.\nReporting & Communication\nProvide daily shift handover reports and production summaries to the Operations Manager and day-shift leadership.\nParticipate in production planning meetings and communicate effectively with other departments (Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, etc.).\nThe ideal candidate should possess the following:\nRequired:\nMinimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics, film extrusion, printing, or packaging industries.\nAt least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment.\nPreferred:\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field.\nStrong technical knowledge of extrusion processes and/or flexographic printing presses.\nProven ability to lead teams in a 12-hour shift environment.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/MES systems.\nExperience with Lean/Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement tools.\nKnowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).\nWhat We Offer You\nWe believe that by continuously improving the quality of our benefits, we can help to raise the quality of life for our team members and their families.
