departments.\n\nPerform fibertests with OTDR’s, light source and meters.\n\nPerform installation of fiberoptic equipment and patch and panels.\n\nPerform installation of network equipment e.g. Scalanceswitches, repeaters, and OLM’s.\n\nAssistin generating and updating ofnetwork drawings,\n\nAssistin coordinating and executing proactive development and implementation measures to improve operations and end user satisfaction\n\nAssistin coordinating and executingtest environments and perform customer factory acceptance tests\n\nCoordinate, execute, liaiseand provide formal / informal user network training that may be conducted on Sentinel site\n\nUnderstand the control philosophy of the process plant\n\nAny other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor\n\nJob SpecificCompetencies\nTroubleshootingon control system network and fibernetworks,\n\nGood knowledge and understanding of communication protocols for Profibus-DP, Profibus-PA, and Industrial Ethernet,\n\nUnderstanding of Siemens network components e.g. Repeater, diagnostic repeater, Scalance’sand terminatingresistor units,\n\nWorkingknowledge of Industrial DCS, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems will be advantageous\n\nPractical skill in ProfibusDP and PA installations including network best practises,\n\nMust be able to use profitracefor fault findingon Profibusnetworks,\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office software\n\nWorkingknowledge of Windows computer systems\n\nWorkingknowledge of installation and commissioning of Engineering control systemsin a process plant environment will be advantageous\n\nUnderstanding of fiberoptic installation, testing and fault finding\n\nKeyJob Attributes\nExcellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with staff who years Fibre Optic splicing experience;\n\n5+ yearscontrol system network experience\n\nMinimum of 2years ofexperience in industrial automatedcontrol systems\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in
