That’s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.\nJob description:\nQualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience\nTechnical Degree or vocational training recognized by JTIA at general electrician level.\n7+ years of experience in industrial automation field and/or large scale instrumentation systems.\nExperience in a large, complex base metals processing plant highly regarded.\nSiemens PCS7 system exposure will be advantageous.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and able to provide clear and accurate reports.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nStrong cognitive and analytical skills.\nStrong understanding of maintenance process improvement and control strategies.\nKnowledgeable in drives, AC & DC motor.\nProficient in the safe use of a variety of test equipment used for the proper calibration, setup and diagnostics of process instrumentation equipment.\nBlueprint reading, one-line power and control diagrams, mechanical math skills\nSound asset care, optimization and hazard control focus.\nBasic PLC programming ability, input and output cards.\nAbility to work in a multi-cultural environment. Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables\n· Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.\n· Develop standard safe working procedures and actively participate in HSE initiatives.\n· Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with H&S (e.g. isolation, lock out and tag out), quality and environmental standards and procedures.\n· Assist to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)\n· Oversee and employ best practice maintenance techniques and procedures for the calibration and optimum performance of process instrumentation and control equipment.\n· Undertake daily corrective actions through formal workplace inspections.\n· Participate in the execution of equipment maintenance plans in the defined area of the Process Plant.\n· Ensure all preventive and predictive maintenance plans are planned and scheduled via a computerized maintenance management system.\n· Ensure update of the database of C&I maintenance activities for all work performed.\n· Provide reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.\n· Develop methods, materials, tools and parts so downtime is minimal.\n· Monitor and report on component wear and tear.\n· Provide technical support for the Instrumentation Engineers on a daily basis to maximize production and efficiencies and optimize costs.\n· Review and report to Supervisor on plant design deficiencies, and equipment performance constantly seek efficiency/operability improvements.\n· Enforce housekeeping standards in the C&I area.\n· Ensure that shift manning requirements are met.
