May compile and analyze test data from performed testing and review results with engineering personnel to improve efficiency and stability of solar modules.\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience in a Technician role or 2 years of experience as an Engineering Test Support II or Master Manufacturing Technician at First Solar.\n\nAssociate Degree in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline and 1year of experience in a Technician role or 2 years of experience as an Engineering Test Support II or Master Manufacturing Technician at First Solar.\n\nBachelor Degree in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline, without prior technical work experience.\n\nMaster Degree in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline, without prior technical work experience.\n\nRequired Skills/Competencies:\nProven experience in test development, field installation and troubleshooting. Ability to learn the operation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.\n\nIntermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)\n\nIntermediate knowledge of JMP and SQL desired\n\nExperience with using and handling electrical devices, including calibration and troubleshooting\n\nAbility to use analytical software to read charts and graphs to find trends\n\nAbility to apply statistical methods to analyze data desired\n\nAbility to communicate on a regular basis with all levels of associates.\n\nExcellent problem solving ability.\n\nEssential Responsibilities:\nApplies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization.\n\nDuties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels.\n\nWorks under daily supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nJob description subject to change at any time.\n\nReporting Relationships:\nThis position will not have direct reports.\n\nTravel:\n0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)\n\nEstimated Hourly Range:\n$18.89 - $26.44/hourly\n\nWork Schedule:\nM-F between 8am-4:30pm\n\nUS Physical Requirements:\nWill sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.\n\nWill climb stairs on an occasional basis.\n\nWill lift, push, or pull up to 37 pounds on an occasional basis.\n\nRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.\n\n20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.\n\nMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.\n\nMay reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.\n\nMay stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.\n\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)\n\nAll associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair)\n\nPotential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.
