This position is a key driver in ensuring that adequate inventory is available to ensure production and equipment uptime, while optimizing inventory levels and other financial metrics.\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain or business related field;OR Associates degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain function .\nAPICS/ISM Certification preferred.\nMinimum 1 year relevant work experience in a supply chain function.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Supply Chain.\nExperience with MRP concepts and one or more ERP systems (SAP preferred).\nRequired Skills/Competencies:\nWorks with guidance/supervision from Manager or more experienced peers.\nAbility to analyze data, recognize critical issues and drive solutions to resolve.\nAbility to seek/gather information from cross functional teams.\nDemonstrates strong collaboration with peers.\nDemonstrates ability to communicate cross functionally and globally.\nStrong attention to detail.\nStrong mathematical abilities.\nProficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.\nProficient Knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP system functionality.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nEnsures there is a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) in alignment with the overall planning strategy; Executes to plan.\nAnalyze/ modifies planned orders as necessary based on inventory levels and system inputs and data from cross functional teams; Suggest modification to PO volumes based on inventory levels when necessary.\nAnalyzes Supply capacity vs global demand and communicates to cross-functional teams (CFT’s) when additional capacity is required to support First Solar growth.\nManages global balancing of supply across sites in supply constrained situations.\nEnsures accurate supplier forecast data available to cross functional teams.\nManage transition roll outs/changes/phase outs to ramp new materials and minimize obsolescence.\nManage all system planning master data for assigned materials.\nMonitor significant inventory changes and investigate root cause.\nReviews and makes corrections as needed based on exception reports to ensure sufficient inventory.\nSupport requests and actions items from other departments as required.\nMaintain effective communications and foster teamwork with peers.\nAssure adherence to all First Solar processes and procedures, including ISO9000, ISO14000, safety, housekeeping, and audit.\nMay travel, including internationally, to support customers and operations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob description subject to change at any time.\nReporting Relationships:\nThis position will not have direct reports.\nTravel:\n10% - 20%\nEstimated Salary Range:\n$48,400- $69,000 salary\nUS Physical Requirements:\nHybrid Physical Requirements:\nWill sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.\nWill climb stairs on an occasional basis.\nWill lift, push or pull up to 37 pounds on an occasional basis. \nRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.\n20/40 vision in both eyes together, with or without correction, is required.\nMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.\nMay reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.\nMay stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards, and a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair) for those requiring respirator use.\nOffice Physical Requirements:\nAll positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
