The scope of the role includes assistance in managing allocation of resources, training new associates, conducting audits to ensure proper 5S and procedures are followed for quality and safety assurance, supporting continuous improvement efforts, managing attendance and performance problems, and ensuring accurate inventory.\nEducation/Experience:\nMinimum 3 years of warehouse operational experience. \nExperience in MHE handling (licensed or certified were dictated by the regulatory requirements).\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\nWarehouse Operational Certification or Lean Certification is preferred.\nRequired Skills/Competencies:\nDemonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory control concepts (FIFO, Kanban, cycle counting practices, etc.).\nDemonstrated supervisory skills. \nAbility to coach and lead a team of material handlers.\nAbility to communicate in English.\nMeticulous attention to details.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changes. \nMust be team orientated.\nProficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nSupervises shift operations, including supervising Material Handlers in warehouse shipping and receiving activities to ensure smooth operations in accordance with standards and procedures. \nAssists Leads in managing allocation and work assignments of resources to ensure smooth operation. Provides coverage during headcount shortage. \nEnsures correct workflow in the area to maintain the inventory accuracy.\nConducts minor troubleshooting and resolution.\nCompletes daily receiving/shipping documentation, particularly computer data input.\nEnsures issuance of material in accordance with requestor requirements in proper UOM.\nAssists in training for new shift associates.\nAssists in ongoing audits of process and product quality and safety.\nResponsible for material handling and supply stocking to allow maximum productivity during shift.\nEnsures and maintains inventory accuracy, striving for 98% accuracy.\nMaintains all equipment preventive maintenance schedules and records. \nManages attendance, team performance, and issues appropriate disciplinary action. \nEnsures shift operations are carried out in compliance with work rules and procedures.\nHelps foster and build an empowered teamwork that constantly strives to improve performance and quality.\nEnsures good housekeeping 5S and in accordance with all safety procedures.\nPromotes a culture of safety. \nSupports and/or participates in Warehouse Continuous Improvement projects.\nMaintains and supervises warehouse cost control.\nEnsures on-time preventive maintenance of all warehouse MHE, tools and equipment. Verifies/signs-off maintenance checklist or delivery order.\nCoordinates shunting or interplant truck operation. \nAssures adherence to all First Solar processes and procedures, including ISO9K, ISO14K, 45K.\nAccountabilities:On-time delivery of materials to production floor.\nOn-time receipt of incoming materials.\nMinimize safety incidents (Recordable, MHE High Impact incidents etc.).\nZero Recordable. \n\nInventory Accuracy.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob description subject to change at any time. \nReporting Relationships:\nThis position will report to the Lead, Warehouse Operations. \nThis position will have direct reports. \nTravel:\n5% - 10%\n\nEstimated Salary Range:\n$56,100-$80,000 Annually. \nUS Physical Requirements:\nWill sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.\nWill climb stairs or steps on a frequent basis.\nWill lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.\nWill lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.\nWill push or pull up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis.\nWill push or pull up to 37 pounds of force on a frequent basis.\nRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.\n20/40 vision in each eye separately and both eyes (with or without correction), the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green and peripheral vision >70 degrees is required.\nMay reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.\nMay stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.\nMust comply with all safety standards and procedures.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection & respirators) as a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).\nPotential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.
